Training Reflections

We can find success secrets in many places - though they aren't always secrets. Success, you see, leaves clues, and when you observe, listen to and learn from the very successful in any arena of life you will find these clues . . . if you look for them. I know that knowledge is power. In a world of heavy competition in the job market and in our current economic state, it is more imperative than ever to have an edge over other applicants when searching for jobs or changing careers. From office managers to heath care professionals there are professional certificate programs and certifications that can be earned by attending approved training classes that are geared towards giving practical and hands-on skills that should carry on into the workplace. This type of training and certification provides employers a sense of confidence knowing that the certified individual can quickly learn their job function and carry it out with minimal supervision. This is certainly the case with many technical jobs.

Me and Americorp/dotrust!

I am excited to have the opportunity to make a big difference in the lives of those around me. In the past my mother Martha Hall (who was also Americorp member) would ask me to volunteer my services with Americorp. As a child I was involved in the community serving others by the grace of God. I have a lifelong dedication in community service. While attending Visible Music College I learned Media Production skills in audio/video recording. I look forward to using these skills for the teach up program. -Melvin
